What You’ll Do:

We are currently looking for an Accounting Coordinator to join our internal Finance team. This individual will support our finance function, working closely with our Accountants and reporting directly to our Managing Director, Accounting Operations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Journal entries, posting transactions, bill payment, invoicing, coding bank and credit card statement data, reconciling intercompany accounts and general reporting
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of NetSuite with internal billing records and tracking of client invoices
  • Assist in processing of accounts payable and management of vendor information
  • Reconcile and manage all bank deposits and cash receipts, including bi-weekly client follow-up and analysis of accounts receivable aging report
  • Support the accounting team in the preparation of internal monthly reporting as needed

This position must be based in our New York office and is a hybrid role. Candidates will need to be local to the area with the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration.

Ideally, You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Demonstrated level of financial acumen commensurate with experience
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups and Pivot Tables)
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and financial statements
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization, peers and executives
  • Very strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
  • High level attention to detail

  • Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary
  • Comfortable managing projects with multiple complex workstreams while also focused on your single workstream (you are managing and doing).

  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • Knowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service
  • Someone who enjoys mentoring others and doing meaningful work
  • Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture

Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 + benefits + bonus

Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
